Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of dockbuildersflorida.com (the "Site") and the referral services offered by Dock Builders Florida ("we", "us"). By using the Site or submitting an inspection request you agree to these Terms.

Referral service, not a contractor

Dock Builders Florida is a referral and matching service. We connect Florida waterfront owners with independent, licensed, insured marine contractors ("Partner Contractors"). We do not self-perform seawall, dock, piling, lift, decking, or other marine construction work. All construction work is performed by the Partner Contractor matched to your project, under a separate contract between you and that contractor.

No warranty on contractor work

Dock Builders Florida does not manufacture, install, warrant, or guarantee any work performed by Partner Contractors. Any warranty on construction, materials, or workmanship comes from the Partner Contractor directly, on the terms in the contract between you and that contractor. We make no representation that any specific Partner Contractor is available, licensed for your specific project, or will perform to any specific standard, and disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Disputes with contractors

Any dispute regarding construction, quotes, timelines, payments, or workmanship is between you and the Partner Contractor. Dock Builders Florida is not a party to your contract with a Partner Contractor and is not liable for that contractor's acts or omissions. We are happy to help facilitate communication where reasonable, but final resolution rests between owner and contractor.

Site information

We work to keep information on the Site accurate but do not guarantee it is free of errors or complete. Content is provided "as is" for general information. Photos and descriptions are illustrative and do not represent any specific project or outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dock Builders Florida's total liability for any claim related to the Site or the referral service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Venue for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site lies exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
